Ladislas I or Saint Ladislas (c. 1046, Kraków, Poland – July 29, 1095, Nitra, Slovakia). King of Hungary from 1077, and of Croatia from 1091 until his death. Saint Ladislas, also known as the Knight-King, is the patron saint of Transylvania, co-patron saint of Hungary, and celestial patron saint of soldiers, knights, border guards and girls. His tomb is in the Roman Catholic Cathedral of Oradea.

He is celebrated on June 27.
